The Galway minor hurlers under Mattie Murphy's guidance will take on Laois in the All-Ireland quarter-finals this Sunday in Semple stadium at 12.15pm.
Murphy is unsure of how his team will perform, but he knows that they have prepared well and that the groundwork has been done.
"We won't know for sure how we are going until Sunday,” he said. “However, we have a nice bit of work done and hopefully the lads will produce a good performance. They have worked hard, but you never really know until you go out in championship how a team is going. That said, we are happy with the lads we have, and they are a good bunch."
The Galway team will not be announced until later, however the management team can call on the likes of Kinvara's Conor Whelan, Eanna Burke and Shane Cooney (St Thomas ), Brian Molloy and Darragh O' Donoghue (Kilnadeema/Leitrim ), and Portumna's Ronan O' Meara.
Having the minors throwing-in at 12.15pm, and the seniors at 4pm, is not ideal from the Galway supporters point of view of getting to see both games, however, as Murphy summed up the situation; "Where there is a will, there’s a way."
