SHARON SHANNON must be the hardest working woman in Irish music and she is set to continue that over Christmas with two major shows in the west of Ireland.
Sharon Shannon and her big band with Shane MacGowan, Mundy, and Dessie O’Halloran will play The Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on Saturday December 27 and Leisureland, Galway, on Tuesday 30. Each show promises three hours of music, including many of the songs from Sharon’s triple-platinum album The Galway Girl.
