Microsoft search engine Bing is always on the lookout for inventive and interesting regional images to feature on the homepage, with the aim to encourage Britons to get out and see more of the great outdoors.
On Tuesday, Bing featured a beautiful image of Ballynahinch Lake, in Connemara. This specially chosen image was made visible to 12.7 million people across the UK as they complete their daily search tasks, and included a gallery of further images of this idyllic landscape.
The image has been chosen to celebrate the start of a six day international film event held in Galway every July; the Galway Film Fleadh. The event, now in its 25th year, attracts directors, actors, cinematographers and artists of all generations and cultural backgrounds who are all keen to share a common experience – the wonder of cinema.
