Stop - a Galway produced film

STOP, A short film written and directed by Paul Murphy, and produced by Galwegian Mark Downes, will be shown as part of the Galway Film Fleadh.

Stop will be shown as part of the fleadh’s New Irish Shorts Programme in the Town Hall Theatre from 10am this morning.

It centres on a chance encounter between a shy, introverted woman and a loud, over-confident teenage girl that takes a deeper turn when personal secrets are inadvertently revealed, and confessions take the place of pleasantries.

Mark Downes is originally from Moycullen and has worked in the film industry for the last 10 years. Stop had its world premier at the Palm Springs Film Festival last month. Its Galway screening will be its Irish and European premier.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
