KEEP YOUR eyes open around town during the Galway Arts Festival for unexpected entertainment with pop-up theatre performances on the street.
These performances will be the result of two evening workshops which will be held at the Foróige youth café, Fairgreen, (opposite the bus station ), to encourage teens to devise their own physical theatre.
There will also be comedy workshops, ideal for Junior and Leaving Cert students, that will use fun, provocative exercises to explore Shakespeare.
The Traffic Light Theatre workshop is on July 23 and 24 (7.30pm to 9pm ) and the In Stitches with Shakespeare workshop is on July 29 and 30 (7.30pm to 9pm ).
Actor and founder of All Action Drama School, Aoife Heery, is the facilitator for the workshops. For more information contact 086 – 0372898, [email protected], or see www.allactiondramaschool.com
