EDDIE STACK, one of Ireland’s leading short story writers, launches a new collection, Quare Hawks, in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop tomorrow at 6pm.
This new book, Stack’s third collection, has 13 tales which span Ireland’s boom to bust years and are peopled by weird and wonderful characters.
Willie Vlautin, leader of the indie/roots-rock band Richmond Fontaine and the acclaimed author of Lean On Pete, haspraised Quare Hawks as “a collision between old and new Ireland”.
