DES KEOGH returns to the Town Hall Theatre with his award winning stage show The Love Hungry Farmer on Friday July 5 and Saturday 6 at 8pm.
The show, adapted from John B Keane’s Letters of a Love-Hungry Farmer, tells the story of John Bosco McLane, a bachelor of ‘indeterminate’ age, ‘past his best’, and still a virgin. To remedy this he embarks on a series of amorous adventures that are by turns hilarious and pitiful.
The Irish Times said of the show: “Des Keogh is superb. A consummate actor wedded to a skilled raconteur, the wine he offers is vintage.” The New York Times said it was “fiercely serious and bruisingly hilarious”.
Tickets are €18/15 and are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
