A BLUEGRASS session and gig takes place in Rafftery’s Rest, Kilcolgan, this Sunday from 12 noon.
Playing will be Ian Carmichael (five-string banjo ), Frank Hall (fiddle ), Paul O’Driscoll (double bass ), Johnny Gleeson (Dobro guitar ), and PJ Power (mandolin ).
They will be joined by the great singer-songwriter John Faulkner who has worked with Dolores Keane, Sean Keane, and De Danann, as well as writing music for the classic 1970s children’s TV show Bagpuss.
All are welcome to the session.
