THE GALWAY Actors’ Workshop will run its midsummer drama courses with workshops for beginners and experienced actors.
The Acting for Camera course will be given by John Dawson this Saturday and Sunday at 11am and is for those making the transition from stage to screen. The cost is €120/100.
John studied with America’s famous Second City and served as art director and production designer on Off-Broadway productions. He has taught master-classes for Dublin’s Gaiety School of Acting, London’s Actors Centre, the Galway Film Centre, Toronto’s Equity Showcase Theatre, and the Samuel Beckett Centre.
The Acting for Fun course, aimed at those with some experience and more confident beginners, starts on Tuesday July 2 at 6.30pm and runs for eight weeks. The cost is €150/125.
Classes take place in the Anno Santo Hotel, Salthill.
