Brian P Griffin, cardiologist at the world famous Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, who is a native of Athenry and graduate of NUI Galway, visited the Croí Heart and Stroke Centre in Galway last weekend to speak to doctors and nurses on current developments in the treatment of heart valve disease.
Dr Griffin is the current holder of the John and Rosemary Brown chair in cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and among his distinctions are being listed among ‘top doctors in Ohio’ and ‘best doctors in America’.
