Athenry’s Gabe Cronnelly to seek Sinn Féin candidacy

Athenry resident Gabe Cronnelly has announced that he will be seeking to run in the 2014 Local Elections as a Sinn Féin candidate.

Mr Cronnelly will be putting his name forward for selection as a candidate in the upcoming Sinn Féin Election Convention with a view to running in the new seven seat Oranmore-Athenry electoral ward.

Mr Cronnelly lives in Cloonkeen, Athenry and has been involved in community work through Athenry Tidy Towns, Athenry Community Services, Athenry/Creggmore Angling Club, Monivea boxing and rugby clubs, Athenry Juvenile Athletics, and as a coach for young people with physical disabilities through the Irish Wheelchair Association. He has been a member of Sinn Fein since 2003
