Kieran Allen, the UCD academic and a leading commentator on society in Ireland, is coming to Galway next week to deliver a public lecture.
The talk, entitled The Future of the Left in Ireland, will take place in Richardson’s of Eyre Square, on Wednesday June 19 at 8pm.
Dr Allen will discuss the necessity of networks of activists shaping and building a radical left; how to convince the public of its programme and ideas; and what sort of revolutionary new political party may Ireland need.
The meeting is organised by the Socialist Workers Party and all are welcome.
