A joint development draw has been launched in Caltra to provide funds for the completion of the new community centre and progression of the GAA pitch and dressing rooms.
The draw is jointly supported by the Caltra GAA and the community centre development association.
Chairman of the CCCDA, Gabriel Naughton, and Caltra GAA club chairman Aidan Murray are asking all organisations in the community to help with what they describe as a “hugely important fund-raiser, which will contribute massively to this flag-ship development”.
“Over the coming weeks teams of ticket sellers will be calling door to door, initially within the community, and then branching out throughout the county.”
Tickets sell for €20 each, with three available for €50. The promoters hope to raise a minimum of €100,000 to be split equally between both organisations. Twenty-three prizes in total are on offer, with the top prize a new Renault Dacia Sandero car, worth €11,000. The total prize money is over €17,000.
Tickets are now available to purchase from the officers of the CCCDA and Caltra GAA. Tickets will also be available on line through the Caltra GAA website www.caltra.gaa.ie and both organisations’ Facebook accounts.
