Final notice for Colleran’s June auction

There is just one week remaining before Colleran auctioneers’ next auction, which will include properties in some of Galway’s most popular, established, and sought after locations.

Don Colleran has reported strong interest in all properties, but not surprisingly it is the Claddagh that has created significant interest as it is a very rare opportunity to purchase a detached house in this desirable city centre location, only 100 yards from Salthill Promenade.

“Our auction includes something for everyone, from a new home, an investment property, or something for your children while attending college in Galway,” Mr Colleran said.

With an AMV of €160,000, No 67 Dun na Mara Drive, Renmore, is very attractively priced compared to many other properties in Renmore. Situated in a quite cul de sac with a sun-filled west facing back garden, this three/four bedroom home is proving of equal interest to investors and families looking to rear their children in one of Galway’s most mature estates, with schools, large parks, and pitches on the doorstep. The last open viewing of No 67 is this Saturday from 11am to 12 noon.

Also for auction on the east side of the city is No 9 Quinn Terrance, Mervue, opposite Mervue Church. This three bedroom end of terrace house is in need of a little attention and this has clearly been reflected in the AMV of €70,000. There is a large back garden with a large garage which has vehicle access and would be very attractive for someone looking to run a small business from home. Open viewing is on Saturday from 11am to 12 noon.

No 66 Coogan Park, Newcastle, is an end of terrace, three bedroom semi with a wide side entrance offering vehicular access to a large workshop to the rear. Its proximity to UHG and NUIG makes it a very obvious investment opportunity. The AMV is €80,000 and open viewings take place on Saturday from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

No 27 Upper Fairhill, Claddagh, is a detached two bedroom house on a large corner site only 100 yards from Salthill Promenade. This property has obvious potential to extend and it would make a wonderful home, holiday home, or investment due to its excellent location just a short stroll from the city centre. The AMV is €180,000 and open viewing is on Saturday from 2pm to 3pm.

No 34 Rockbarton Court, Salthill, is an extremely large, secure, first floor apartment offering 1,000sq ft of living accommodation. Located in the safe and mature surroundings of Rockbarton Court, this complex consists of primarily owner occupied apartments and would make an excellent home due to its unusually bright accommodation, the attraction of an open fireplace, and its convenience to all amenities. The AMV is €140,000 and open viewing on Saturday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
