THE ADAPT Galway group, consisting of arts groups and organisations in the city, will hold a fundraising event in The Harbour Hotel on Thursday June 6 at 9pm.
Adapt Galway is made up of members from Engage Art Studios, 126 Artist-Run Gallery, The Loft, Lorg Fine Art Printmakers, Artspace, The Forge Studios, The Kitchen Table Collective, Expanded Draught, Angry Hammers, and the TULCA Festival of Visual Art.
Adapt Galway took up residency at The Shed, located on Centre Pier, Galway Harbour, in March 2012 with the support of The Galway Harbour Company. This led to Adapt hosting seven exhibitions and four workspace projects over the last year, with almost 5,000 visitors through its doors.
Adapt Galway @ The Shed is determined to continue supporting artists in Galway. It is run by unpaid volunteers and does not receive any state or local funding.
The fundraiser will feature music by The Hardcore Priests of Yemen, My Fellow Sponges, and DJs Deletia and Feed Me Weird Things. Admission is €5 on the door. Proceeds will go toward Adapt Galway @ The Shed.
