TODD TERJE, the Norwegian cosmic-disco maestro DJ and producer, plays Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday May 23 at 9pm.
Since 2005’s Balearic house anthem ‘Eurodans’, Todd Terje (real name Terje Olsen ) has ploughed his own furrow reworking tracks, by everyone from the Bee Gees to fellow Norwegian producer Prins Thomas, with his signature synth-driven creations ,sprinkled with dub, disco, and Italo.
2011 saw the release of Ragysh, a full-on, eight-minute house workout on Gerd Janson’s Running Back imprint, but it was last year’s ‘Inspector Norse’ that propelled Terje’s into the stratosphere, with the track heard in clubs, earphones, and at festivals around the world.
