PILGRIM HILL, the new Irish film directed by Gerard Barrett, winner of the Rising Star awards at this year’s IFTA, will be released on DVD in On Demand this week.
The film, which has been called “a masterful debut” by The Irish Times and “remarkable” by Variety, centres on Jimmy Walsh (Joe Mullins ), an lonely farmer who must tend the family land and his ageing father. His social life amounts to an occasional couple of pints in the pub. He finds life tough, but is not prepared for the turn it is about to take.
