TOM CREAN - Antarctic Explorer, the award winning, critically acclaimed, stage show on the life of the Irishman who served with Scott and Shackleton, returns to Galway.
The show is at the Town Hall Theatre from Thursday May 23 to Saturday 25 at 8pm. Written and performed by Aidan Dooley it won the Best Solo Performance Award at the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival and the Fringe First Award at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe.
Tom Crean served on three expeditions to the Antarctic - Discovery, (1901 - 1904 ); Terra Nova (1910 - 1913 ); and Endurance (1914 - 1916 ), and undertook a 36 mile, solitary trek, to rescue his comrades Teddy Evans and William Lashly.
