Three shows from Tumbling Bones

DOWN-HOME, old-fashioned American folk music, but played with a contemporary twist and verve is the stuff of US trio Tumbling Bones.

Tumbling Bones are coming to County Galway to play three shows and according to New York Music Daily, “what they do isn’t museum music. It’s fun old-time string band stuff...the trio’s arrangements are original, the energy is unselfconsciously high and they make great party music”.

The band play The Killary Sessions, Killary Fjord, Connemara tomorrow at 6.30pm. Ship departs from Nancy’s Point, Leenane. Tickets are €10 from 1800415151 and www.killarycruises.com On Saturday they play Mullarkey’s, Foyle’s Hotel, Clifden at 9.30pm. Admission is free; and on Sunday June 2 the trio play Áras Eanna Arts Centre, Inis Oírr, Aran Islands at 8.30pm. Admission is €10/5. See www.araseanna.ie
