A number of Galway-based companies will be showcasing their businesses at Bank of Ireland branches across the county as part of National Enterprise Week, which takes place fromMay 17 to 24.
According to Bank of Ireland at the start of National Enterprise Week, new and approved lending to small and medium enterprises (SMEs ) has risen by over one quarter in the first three months of 2013, based on year-on-year figures.
PJ Kavanagh, Bank of Ireland’s area manager West, said, Irish businesses continued to operate in a challenging environment.
“We recognise this and that is why events such as National Enterprise Week are so important in facilitating businesses to showcase their wares to the public in all of our 250 branches, to network with other companies at dedicated business focused events or to access practical advice on a whole range of topics.”
Today the Bank of Ireland will host a talk in Gort on “Going for Growth – Women in Business” with guest speaker Paula Fitzsimons. This talk is designed to support women to follow and exploit their entrepreneurial talent and potential.
