YOUNG PEOPLE who want to act in a film, write a script, direct a movie, or capture the scene behind the lens should avail of film making workshops in the county this summer.
A series of five-day workshops begins on June 10 and run until August 23 at the South Galway Media Education Centre, Gort. Audio visual tutors Paeder McDonagh and Gerry Mulkerrins facilitate the classes for both 12 to 14 years and 15 to 18 years age groups.
From 9.30am to 4.30pm daily, students will learn the technical skills required to produce a film, use professional camera lights and sound equipment, and edit with digital mixing effects.
