Three watersports clubs will open their doors to the public this weekend as part of a national initiative developed by the Irish Sailing Association to encourage people of all ages out on to the water.
Galway Bay Boat Charters is offering visitors the opportunity to try either sailing or powerboating at its club on Claddagh Quay. The free taster sessions will run from 9am to 9pm from Saturday until Monday.
Galway City Sailing Club will host its Sail Spree event on Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm, offering participants the opportunity to try sailing in Topaz dinghies, followed by a club barbecue on the beach, weather permitting, or in the club.
Galway Bay Sailing Club will host its Sail Spree event on Saturday and will be offering sailing taster sessions between 12 noon and 6pm, followed by a barbecue and music in the clubhouse at Renville, Oranmore.
