Heart charity predicts it will reach usual sales targets despite economic downturn

The local heart charity Croi says that despite the current economic conditions it hopes to reach its usual sales targets.

Launching its Christmas cards its chief executive Neil Johnson said people are very supportive of local charities.

“Even in difficult times they see their way to supporting worthy causes. This year our Christmas collection is very Galway focused with many seasonal images of well known landmarks coupled with very warm nativity scenes.

The cards come in packs of 12 and cost €7. A new dimension this year is the option of sending a Croi e-card - a trouble-free alternative for companies and organisations to send seasonal greetings without signing, printing or posting while supporting the fight against heart disease.
