Stagecoach Galway has confirmed that there are only a few vacancies left for the summer term commencing this Saturday, April 20 to June 29 at St Mary's College. This part time theatre school trains children aged 4 to 18 in professional dance, drama, and singing classes and recently celebrated its 25th anniversary as the world's largest children's theatre school.
Galway principal John Lucey said: “It's been quite a year with an unforgettable performance of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Cats at the NIA, Birmingham involving a cast of 3,000 students from around the globe and we were honoured to be there.” He went on to say, "This term, our silver anniversary takes us back to 1988 as if we were the very first Stagecoach centre. We'll devise an exciting and nostaglc performance including songs from that era with big hair, multi coloured leg warmers and shoulder pads." Stagecoach is open to all children regardless of age or ability and discovery sessions are open for booking this Saturday. These sessions offer parents and children time to decide on whether or not to pursue the Stagecoach course.
In addition to the summer term, Stagecoach has confirmed places are quickly being occupied in advance of its popular annual summer camp, which runs from July 15 - July 19. The camp is open to non Stagecoach students, where children and teenagers get the chance to perform a full one hour musical in just five thrilling days and this year's choice is Porridge, a brand new comedy musical by Craig Hawes in association with Musicline Publications.
