A fundraising coffee morning in aid of Self Help Africa’s work in Kenya will take place on Friday April 26 in the Westside Resource Centre, Westside, from 10am to 12 noon.
Self Help Africa is an international organisation founded and headquartered in Ireland which tackles poverty in rural Africa at grass roots level.
It invests in agricultural and rural communities and focuses efforts on farming and food production as 80 per cent of Africans rely directly on small-scale farming for their survival, and because most land has the potential to grow much more. It also provides much assistance to women, who do the bulk of the work on most small farms
