Irish soccer legend Roy Keane is calling on Galwegians to take part in the 11th Annual Shades fundraiser for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
IGDB need funds in order to meet increased demand for its guide dogs for vision impaired persons and assistance dogs for families of children with autism. The organisation has waiting lists of up to three years and is seeking to raise more than €4 million this year.
“Irish Guide Dogs is a great organisation,” said Roy. “Right now they need the extra help of volunteers nationwide and are looking to companies and individuals to help with Shades collections in their area during the month of May.”
