NUALA KELLY is a nine-year-old living with her mother, brother, and grandfather in conflict torn Northern Ireland in 1979.
She loves Thin Lizzy and The Undertones, just like her big brother, Oran, whom she worships. She would do anything for him, but what she does one day for her brother no-one could ever have imagined and 10 years later she sits in a prison cell, looking back on her life.
This is Grenades, the highly acclaimed play by Tara McKevitt, which will be performed by Galway’s Mephisto Theatre Company in Ionad Ealaíne Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr, Aran Islands, this Saturday at 8.30pm.
