Portumna teenager selected as juror for Coca-Cola film competition

Joesph Beltran, 17, from Portumna has been chosen as a jury member for a short film competition that sees him gain entry to a 20 part jury panel that will review and critique films from across the world.

In addition to being accepted onto this panel, he will also join the panel in the Coca-Cola Cinemagic competition in Dublin, which runs from May 13 to May 19. The films will feature in the jury competition on Saturday May 16 in Filmbase, Dublin, where the jury (age range from 12 - 18 ), will evaluate the best short films aimed at teenage audiences.

The young jury members will be assisted by a band of local film critics, who will be on hand to offer advice on the principles of critiquing. Jury members will also get the chance to write reviews on the competition films screened. These reviews will then be published on the Cinemagic/Film Ireland website.
