MY PLACE, an art exhibition focusing on memories and everyday life, will be launched this Monday in the Foyer and Arts Corridor of University Hospital Galway.
My Place features 30 artists from The Iris Learning Centre and the Kilcornan Arts Group of the Brothers of Charity Services Kilcornan, Clarinbridge.
The participating artists are members of classes given by Sally McMahon.
“Over the past seven years I have seen art enrich the lives of these wonderful people,” she said. “It has provided them with an outlet to be creative, express themselves, interact with each other and the broader community, it has also provided them with the opportunity to show off their talents and wonderful abilities to the communities they live in.”
The official opening takes place on Monday at 3pm with guest speaker Tom Kenny and music and song with Seán Keane and Ruth Dillon. The exhibition runs until April 24.
