Food and funny business

COMEDY FANS and foodies are in for great laugh at two special lunchtime comedy shows in The Ruby Room of The King’s Head.

The shows, part of this year’s Galway Food Festival, takes place this Easter Saturday, with one of Ireland’s finest comics, Joe Rooney; and on Easter Sunday with one of its best emerging talents, Danny Dowling

Joe is best known as Timmy in Kilanascully and Fr Damo in Fr Ted. He is also a master of improv and has played at all the world’s major comedy festivals.

New Zealand native Danny Dowling will deliver his razor sharp observational comedy on rural Irish life. He was also a winner on Come Dine With Me Ireland.

Gerry Mallon is the MC. Tickets are €10 at the door which opens at 12.30pm with the show starting at 1pm.
