Essential health information at the one Day Ayurveda workshop

Ayurveda is a natural system of health that educates and empowers patients by helping them to understand health facts and maintain his/her own health and well-being. This is achieved by guiding the user to appreciate thir unique natural physical and psychological make-up and tendencies. By encouraging him/her to make changes in diet, lifestyle, and daily routine, Ayurveda can help prevent, treat, and eliminate both disease and symptoms.

Orna Canavan of Ayurveda Galway will be conducting a one day introductory workshop where attendees will explore their own health situations and make important discoveries that may identify areas that need addressing. They will also study the practise of Ayurveda by taking a look at their own specific Ayurvedic constitution and ways to both improve and sustain better health.

Participants will explore the importance of food, appropriate constitutional diets, and proper eating habits, daily and seasonal routines. By applying the Ayurvedic principles to their own life, they will learn how to prevent the accumulation of toxins, and cleanse and rejuvenate the body. Orna will also be taking a look at some Ayurvedic herbs and sharing some simple home remedies to combat common health complaints. A delicious Ayurvedic vegetarian lunch will be served during the break so they will sample some of the flavours of Ayurveda.
