Galway author makes CBI Book of the Year Awards Shortlist

Mise agus an Dragún written by Galwegian Patricia Forde and published by Connemara based company Futa Fata has been shortlisted for the Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year Award 2013.

Formerly the Bisto Awards, these awards are now in their 23rd year. This is the first time a Futa Fata book has been shortlisted.

Written by Patricia Forde, Mise agus an Dragún (The Dragon Hunter ) tells the story of a brave bear who dreams of being a dragon hunter! This is the third picture book Patricia has published with Futa Fata. It is illustrated by Steve Simpson.

Winners of the Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year Awards will be announced at a special ceremony in May.

In further good news for Mise agus an Dragún, the title is one of 250 books chosen from thousands to feature in this years White Ravens Exhibition 2013 at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair which runs from March 25 to 28.
