Learn more about people’s mental health experiences

People interested in understanding more about other people’s mental health experiences are invited to an “open conversation” about the subject on Wednesday at the Jigsaw centre at Fairgreen House, opposite Galway Coach Station from 7pm to 8.30pm. The theme of the meeting is on the benefits of creative activities.

Over the past two years, a series of mental health trialogue meetings have been taking place every month in Galway.

These meetings are aimed at people working in mental health, those who have mental health difficulties and anyone who cares about positive mental health in Galway.

The trialogue is a facilitated circle of conversations which offers people unique opportunities to freely and safely share their own experiences or ask questions about mental health. The open dialogue approach also offers people the opportunity to listen and gain insight into the personal experience of others.

People interested in understanding more about other people’s experiences and perceptions about mental health and in possibly sharing their own experience are invited to attend next week’s meeting

Feedback from participants at previous trialogues includes:“I think the Trialogue is a really good idea; it empowers the community”, “I found it very informative and insightful”, “I felt very comfortable actually and I felt heard”, “I felt challenged and informed and it was a very worthwhile experience”.
