The Galway Advertiser will begin live streaming auctions tomorrow on its website, www.advertiser.ie/galway The Advertiser will be the first newspaper in the country to offer a live property auction service on its website, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the excitement of an auction and learn more about the process. The service will be particularly useful for people who wish to bid remotely, or those who are contemplating placing a property up for auction and want to learn more about the process.
The live auction stream is the latest in a range of online services rolled out by the Advertiser group, which launched its popular Advertiser Deals site, deals.advertiser.ie, last October. The Advertiser Deals site has enjoyed considerable success since its launch with thousands of people signing up and availing of special discounted deals from a wide variety of local companies.
Advertiser Group managing director Peter Timmins said the new live auction service is just one of the exciting digital projects which will be unveiled by the company in the coming months.
“This is part of our continuing development of the online side of our business, where advertiser.ie will satisfy all the online needs of the Galway public,” Mr Timmins added.
“Our recent developments in the online area began with the launch of our deals website, deals.advertiser.ie, which has already added thousands of customers for the businesses who have partnered with us on the site.
“There is huge interest throughout Galway city and county in the property market, and viewing the auctions live on www.advertiser.ie/galway will allow the public to access the most up-to-date information on this market. It will also allow access for people all over Ireland and further afield who cannot attend the auction in person.
“This is another stage in the development of advertiser.ie, and we have many more exciting projects to roll out in the coming months,” Mr Timmins continued. “Our aim is to make advertiser.ie/galway the definitive web portal for Galway and the surrounding areas for both the business community and the public at large.”
The first live auction stream will take place at 3pm tomorrow, when the O’Donnellan & Joyce March auction, featuring 18 properties, can be viewed online at www.advertiser.ie/galway
