Irish and craic for less at Coláiste na n-Oileán

Located in the heart of the true Connemara Gaeltacht, Coláiste na nOileán is one of the longest-running Irish colleges. The college promises plenty of ceoil agus craic this summer.

Catering for children and young adults aged 10 to 18, the college offers a great selection of course options.

A specially designed five-day residential course for fifth and sixth class primary students runs during July and offers the same spraoi, spóirt, and craic packed into five days. This completely separate and fully supervised course is designed around parents’ requests and caters specifically for this age group.

The popular three-week course runs in the months of June, July, and August and caters for students aged from 10 to 18 years with special courses for those sitting the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert 2014.

Coláiste na nOileán also runs one, two, and three-day mini Gaeltacht activity courses during the school year that would suit all ages from fifth and sixth class primary up to transition year in secondary. Each course is a mini Gaeltacht course, packed full of activities.

Coláiste na nOileán believes that learning Irish should be fun as this helps to cultivate a love for the Irish language and its culture, a formula that has made Coláiste na n-Oileán a huge success for over half a century
