Did you ever dream of sailing in the open sea, crashing through waves as you steer your craft with the wind in your face? Whether you enjoy exhilarating challenges or just like to float around in the sun; the beauty of sailing is that there are days for everybody.
Galway Bay Sailing Club training course will give you the spills and thrills you have been looking for.
You will get to grips with the basic theory of sailing by learning about boat setup, winds, tides, and safety. You will sail on both small two handed dinghies and an ocean going yacht.
All wet gear will be provided including wet suit and buoyancy aid. If you cannot swim it is not a problem, as expert instructors will be watching and ensuring your safety at all times.
Other adults who have completed this course have raced in regattas throughout Ireland, travelled to the Mediterranean, and sailed on charter yachts, and some just visit to the club and go out for a sail around Galway Bay.

A five week course on introduction to sailing for adults will take place on Wednesday evenings, starting on March 13, at Galway Bay Sailing Club, Renville, Oranmore.
