THE THREE Tenors, “the most delicious box of chocolates your ears could ever have,” according to The New York Times, are coming back to Galway.
Entitled, Eve of St Patrick’s Day Special, the concert takes place in the Hotel Meyrick, Eyre Square, on Saturday March 16 at 8.30pm.
The tenors - Declan Kelly, David Martin and Ray O’Hare - will perform songs by Sinatra (‘My Way’, ‘New York, New York’ ), Leonard Cohen (‘Hallelujah’ ), Simon & Garfunkel (‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ ), Pavarotti (‘Nessun Dorma’ ), and The Dubliners (‘Song for Ireland’ ). There will be a guest violinist, All-Ireland champion sean-nós dancers, and traditional musicians.
The Three Tenors performed at the European Premiere of Lincoln in Dublin, attended by Daniel Day Lewis and Steven Spielberg.
