The String Collision tour, featuring Vyvienne Long, and the Balanescu Quartet - making their debut appearance in Ireland - comes to The Druid Lane Theatre on Thursday March 7 at 7.30pm.
Vyvienne released her critically acclaimed debut album Caterpillar Sarabande in 2010. Her music has used in soundtracks for Irish and Icelandic television. State.ie described her as a “boundlessly talented cellist and arranger”.
The Balanescu Quartet, led by Romanian virtuoso violinist Alexander Balanescu, has worked with Michael Nyman, Jack de Johnette, Ornette Coleman, David Byrne, the Pet Shop Boys, Spiritualized, Kate Bush, and Kraftwerk.
