HERMITAGE GREEN are not only rugby fans who play folk-rock but their vocalist Barry Murphy formerly played for Munster and Ireland.
Barry made 71 appearances for Munster and four caps for Ireland during his playing career. More recently he and the band played for the Irish squad ahead of the match against Argentina.
Tommy Bowe has described Hermitage Green as “quality” while Jamie Heaslip said they are “absolutely class”.
Although Ireland’s hopes of a Six Nations title were dashed in Murrayfield last Sunday, music and rugby fans can enjoy the group in concert in the Róisín Dubh on Saturday March 9 at 9pm.
Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, from the Ticket Desk at OMG, Shop Street (formerly Zhivago ), and The Róisín Dubh.
