The closing date for the 2012 Mayor’s Awards is Thursday February 28 and the Mayor of Galway, Terry O’Flaherty, is calling for the final nominations to be made.
Nominations are invited to acknowledge the contribution made in Galway by either individual volunteers or organisations. Nomination forms are available from City Hall, credit union offices in the city, and as a download from www.galwaycity.ie The categories are: St Anthony’s & Claddagh Credit Union Arts, culture, heritage, and cúrsaí Gaeilge Award; St Columba’s Credit Union residents and local areas Award; Naomh Pádraig Credit Union social and community service Award; Older Volunteer of the Year Award; Sports Volunteer of the Year Award; Children and Youth Support Award; and Young Volunteer of the Year.
