New brand for century-old building company but the design prizes still keep coming

Galway-based building and design firm Stewarts have won the Best Civil Engineering Project at the LAMA awards ceremony for their design and con struction of Tipperary offices and Civic Plaza project.

The building was also a finalist in two additional categories: Best Energy Efficient Project and Best Public Building Project.

Stewart recently completed this design and build contract which was won in a Government D&B Competition for Decentralised Government Offices in Tipperary, promoted by the OPW, to procure new offices for the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and Tipperary Town Council.

This is a highly sustainable building which is set to achieve a LEED Gold rating and will make Stewart the first contractor in Ireland to have completed both Breeam Excellent and LEED Gold Rated Office Block Developments, a strong achievement for the West of Ireland-based contractors who are in operation for over 100 years.

Stewarts has recently rebranded and have a “new corporate look”. JSL Group Ltd. is still the limited liability company but Stewarts as the overall trading name. For details see www.stewart.ie
