An early morning crash at Loughgeorge on the N17 was the cause of massive delays on the route on Friday.
Three people were brought to hospital following the crash, which occurred shortly before 7.30am near the Central Tavern.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area on the morning as heavy traffic delays were a result of emergency services attending the scene as well as ESB crews who were on site to fix an electricity pole hit during the collision.
Gardai said Friday that none of the victims’ injuries was life threatening.
