SCULLION, ONE of the great Irish folk-rocks bands, return to County Galway to play The Forge, Moycullen, on Friday February 22 at 8.30pm.
The band are Sonny Condell, a gifted songwriter and one half of the great Tír na nÓg; broadcaster, documentary-maker, and musician Philip King, and guitarist Robbie Overson.
The band will be perform songs from their 2012 album, Long Wave, as well as classics and favourites like ‘Down In The City’, ‘Eyelids Into Snow,’ and ‘John The Baptist’.
According to Philip King, Galway has always been special to Scullion. The band enjoyed their visit to The Forge back in 2010. “On that occasion,” said King, “the intimate venue, the appreciative crowd, and the warm atmosphere came together to produce a very memorable gig.”
