THE FOLK, country, blue grass, and gypsy fusion of Mikey & The Scallywags will provide high entertainment for families at the next Adventures in Music concert.
The concert takes place this Sunday in the St Patrick’s Band Hall, next to Ceannt Station, starting at 2pm with children’s pre-concert activities, the concert at 2.30pm, and a meet the musicians session at 3.15pm.
The band - Mikey McCrory (guitar/vocals ), Brian Gosker (drums ), Pauli Smalls (double bass ), Alan Gosker (banjo ), Julianna Erkkonen (fiddle ), and Ivan Coleman (keys ) - was formed in 2010 and have played the Electric Picnic and the Volvo Ocean Race. They are currently working on their debut album.
Tickets are €20 (family ) €5 (individually ) and children under two are free, and are available at the door and mykidstime.ie Mikey & The Scallywags also host the Musical Mayhem nights in The Crane Bar Sea Road. The first such night will feature the excellent Irish band, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra on Saturday February 9, supported by Mikey & The Scallywags.
After this show the night will take place on the first Thursday of every month. Confirmed acts taking part include Blind Yackety, The Eskies, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, and John Fairhurst.
