Information evening for Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh next week

Gaillimh le Gaeilge is calling on Galway’s local businesses and organisations to attend an Information Evening on the Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh award in the Carlton Hotel, Dublin Road, from 6.30pm -7.30 pm, on Tuesday Jan 29.

The information evening is organised by Gaillimh le Gaeilge in association with last year’s winner, EmployAbility Galway and will provide you with an excellent opportunity to find out how your business/organisation can successfully make the Irish language a feature of your business.

Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh is supported by the Galway Advertiser, and recognises, honours and celebrates all the great bilingual work done in Galway City. The award is named in honour of Seosamh Ó hÓgartaigh, founding member and company secretary of Gaillimh le Gaeilge.

This year, Gaillimh le Gaeilge is delighted to announce, that the total value of the prizes and benefits provided by the local businesses is worth in excess of €17,000 and all participants will receive extensive media exposure and acclaim for their business/organisation.

Gaillimh le Gaeilge is also pleased to reveal that ARÓ Internet Business Development has come on board as sponsor for 2013 and will provide a series of four Web Strategy Workshops for the overall winner. Additional prizes and benefits are also provided by; D’Arcy Marketing & PR Fáilte Ireland, Galway Bay FM, Snap Galway, Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, Ollscoil na hÉireann, Gaillimh, , Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Galway Chamber.

At the information evening, Pauline O’ Dwyer from EmployAbility Galway will outline the steps which they took to win this prestigious award last year and the impact it has had on the organisation. Siubhán Nic Grianna, Údarás na Gaeltachta will speak about the adjudication process and foireann Ghaillimh le Gaeilge will be happy to answer any questions and show what you could do to prepare for the Gradam.

There is plenty of time to introduce the Irish language into the day to day running of your business for the Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh award and Gaillimh le Gaeilge is available to assist you with their ‘Gaeilge sa Ghnó’ service.

Application forms will be made available on the evening and refreshments will also be provided. This award is the perfect opportunity for any business to put themselves on the map as a company which is proud to make ‘an Ghaeilge’ their business.
