Photography holidays in Lanzarote with Fahy Travel

Fahy Travel are next week launching a series of photography holidays in Lanzarote, the first of which start in May 2013.

Fahy Travel has been Galway’s most creative and trend setting travel agent since they opened their doors for trade in the late 1800s, as evidenced from the amount of awards bestowed on Fahy Travel from all areas within the travel industry.

From organising busy business trip schedules to well planned honeymoons and now activity holidays, Fahy Travel is at the cutting edge of the travel business in Ireland.

On January 25 Galway’s most innovative travel agency are turning their Bridge Street premises into a Gallery of Photography which will showcase Lanzarote as seen through the lens of Galway’s most distinguished photographer Joe Geoghegan.

Maura Fahy, director of Fahy Travel said, “About a year ago I saw Joe’s photographs of Lanzarote and was so impressed with his approach to photographing this exotic holiday location, that I approached Joe with the seed of an idea.

“After many hours of negotiation and discussion we came to the conclusion that Lanzarote would be an ideal location for a holiday with a difference, that difference being a photography holiday led by a master professional photographer.

“Joe Geoghegan has been widely acclaimed as both a master of his craft and a skilfull outstanding educator.”

“A holiday should be fun. Learning a new skill like photography should be fun. I have always maintained that learning a new skill set is easier if it is fun and relaxing. I always endeavour to simplify photography as I impart knowledge which will change the way that my photography students see the world around them,” said Joe Geoghegan.

So, if you are interested in having a holiday relaxing in sunny Lanzarote and learning about photography from a master photographer, call into Fahy Travel to view “Joe’s Lanzarote” exhibition and maybe book your way onto the holiday that will change the way you see the world around you.
