GALWEGIANS ITCHING to get creative in 2013 or who would like guidance with a short stories, poems, or a novel they are working on, should check out the classes in the GTI.
The Galway Technical Institute on Father Griffin Road, is holding beginners and intermediate creative writing classes in January.
Creative Writing for Beginners with the poet and essayist Kevin Higgins starts on Monday January 14 and runs for eight weeks. Classes are from 7pm to 9.30pm. Kevin will provide writing exercises for, and give gentle critical feedback to, those interested in trying their hand at writing poems, stories, or memoir.
Intermediate Creative Writing with Susan Millar DuMars starts on Tuesday January 15 and runs for eight weeks. Classes are from 7pm to 9.30pm. The class is suitable for those who have participated in creative writing classes before or begun to have work published in magazines.
