Ireland Assist creates 70 new positions in its Galway support centre

Local Assistance and Insurance Services Company, Ireland Assist Ltd, recently created more than 70 new positions in its Medical Assistance and Travel Claims Support Centre in Galway City.

The company’s expansion is a result of the growth in the International Travel and Medical Assistance Sector along with the successful launch of the InsureandGo brand in Ireland earlier this year.

The Galway company, which is a subsidiary of the Spanish group, MAPFRE ASISTENCIA, the insurance, reinsurance and services multinational (www.mapfreasistencia.com ) has been operating in Ireland for 21 years in the assistance and insurance service industry.

There are currently more than 100 people employed by the company in its city centre offices providing 24/7 services to the Insurance, Financial and Automotive sectors in Ireland and the UK.

Marco Magliocco, Managing Director of Ireland Assist Ltd said: “As a Galway native I am delighted and proud to be able to secure these new positions for Galway as it has always been an ambition of mine to develop a Centre of Excellence for Medical Assistance and Travel Claims business in Galway.

“With the accessibility to highly qualified and multi-lingual staff, Galway has proven to be the ideal location for such a Support Centre”.
