GALWEGIANS LOOKING to try their hand at creative writing, but who want guidance and advice on how to do so, should check out classes at the GTI.
Poet Kevin Higgins will host the eight week Creative Writing for Beginners course, starting Monday January 14, from 7pm to 9.30pm. Kevin will provide writing exercises for, and give gentle critical feedback to, those interested in writing poems, stories, or memoir.
Poet and short story writer Susan Millar DuMars will host the eight week Intermediate Creative Writing course, starting Tuesday January 15 from 7pm to 9.30pm.
The class is suitable for those who have participated in such classes before or begun to have work published in magazines. There will be exercises and work-shopping of assignments and study of the works of published writers.
