Follow Alice Underground

WHEN ALICE spotted the White Rabbit and followed him down a hole, she had no idea of the adventures, and troubles, she would get into.

Lewis Carrol’s classic, surreal, adventure, Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, are the inspiration for Youth Ballet West’s Alice Underground, which will be performed at the Town Hall Theatre this Saturday (7.30pm ) and Sunday (2.30pm ).

Expect pirouetting parrots, dancing ducks, flouncing flowers, and a very Mad Hatter. Conceived and choreographed by Claire Lillis and Judith Sibley, together they have taken key elements from these stories and created an inspired show.

The show will also see YBW perform Upbeat & Classical. Choreographed by Kilian O’Callaghan, former principal dancer with Royal New Zealand Ballet and West Australian Ballet Company, this piece celebrates the music of Glenn Miller.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
